Greek Chicken Wraps
Similar to the gyro, this greek chicken wrap is full of flavor. It makes the perfect recipe for a healthy lunch. The great thing about this dish is that it just takes a few minutes of your time.
This recipe just calls for a few chopped veggies and a few other ingredients you probably already have in your fridge.
Make Your Own Hummus
Hummus is one of the star ingredients in this recipe that gives it that Mediterranean flavor. Hummus is a smooth puree made from garbanzo beans (also known as chickpeas).
I have a super easy hummus recipe you can use if you don’t have any hummus on hand. You can easily make it with a can of chickpeas or great white northern beans.

Ingredients
This hummus chicken wrap recipe uses fresh veggies, lunch meat, and a few condiments. For this recipe you’ll need:
- 1 Tortilla (whole wheat tortilla, flour tortillas, or pita bread)
- 2 Tablespoon Hummus
- Handful of Lettuce greens
- 1 oz chicken (deli meat or chicken breasts)
- 2 Tbsp cucumber (diced)
- 2 Tbsp red bell peppers (diced)
- 2 Tbsp tomato (diced)
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
1 tsp Dill weed - ¼ cup Feta cheese crumbles
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice
- Olive oil (for pan)
Instructions
This wrap has very basic steps. You’ll just heat your tortilla while adding all of your ingredients on top. Here is the order that I build my Greek hummus chicken wrap:
Heat Pan & Tortilla
First, you want to heat your pan over medium heat. Then, add your extra-virgin olive oil to lightly coat the pan.
Lay your tortilla in the pan to start letting it crisp up.
Add Toppings
While the tortilla is heating in the pan, you’ll add your ingredients to it in this order:
First, smear the tortilla with your hummus. Then, lay your greens on top of the hummus.
After that, you will add your chicken & veggies.
Dress Your Wrap
To finish off your wrap, dab the sour cream evenly across the top of your ingredients. Then sprinkle it with dill, feta cheese, & lemon juice.
Remove From Heat
When your tortilla is starting to turn golden on the outside, it is time to remove it from the pan. Enjoy your Greek hummus chicken wrap!
Tips
- Make it low carb with a low carb tortilla or lettuce wrap.
- Use deli meat, rotisserie chicken, canned chicken, or any other meat you have on hand.
- For a vegetarian option – skip the chicken! It’ll be a delicious hummus veggie wrap.
- The sour cream, dill, & lemon juice mimic a tzatziki sauce. Or you can just use greek tzatziki sauce if you have it on hand.
- Add any other veggies you prefer – kalamata olives, onion, red onion, zucchini, etc.
- Skip the hummus if you don’t have it on hand. The wrap is delicious without it too.
- Kick it up a notch and add onion powder, garlic powder, fresh dill, black pepper and any other seasonings you like.
- Use any tomatoes you like – roma tomatoes, grape tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, etc.
- Use any greens you have on hand – romaine lettuce, spinach, spring mix, etc.
Conclusion
Making your own greek wrap at home is so easy. You’ll love the mixture of the fresh veggies, the creamy hummus, and the homemade tzatziki sauce together. Add this into your lunch rotation or for a weekly dinner. You won’t regret it!
